May I use my Prox-PU/CU reader with Windows 7?

The latest (and last) version of the Prox driver supports windows systems up to Vista 32 Bit.
It was not tested with W7, therefore if you are running Windows 7 we cannot guarantee that this driver will work correctly.

In case you get “This device cannot start. (Code 10)” in the device manager on this device, you may try to change the communication speed of the reader:

Create a .reg file and copy the following data inside:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ProxPUCU\Parameters\Device0]
"Baudrate"=dword:00070800

Execute this .reg file, it will change the default value from 614400 bps to 460800 bps.
If this value does not resolve the issue, try a lower one according to the list of possible speed values: 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200, 230400.

Change the Baudrate value in the registry under the key “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ProxPUCU\Parameters\Device0“
