Content

To reset the SA Server/IDConfirm 1000 first admin LDAP user password:

In Active Directory, right click on the LDAP user, Reset Password.  Reset the password and document the new password.

Go to the SA Server/IDConfirm 1000, navigate to the folder below.

Program Files\Gemalto\SAServer\AuthenticationServer\webapps\saserver\WEB-INF\classes

Edit the file; AuthServer.config

#########################################

### LDAP Server Connection Parameters ###

#########################################

authserver.ldap.ldapport=389

authserver.ldap.ldaphost=localhost

authserver.ldap.logindn=CN=sas_admin, cn=users,dc=sas,dc=com

authserver.ldap.loginpassword=UEBzc3dvcmQ=

authserver.ldap.maxphyconns=10

authserver.ldap.maxldapconns=20

authserver.ldap.authuser.maxphyconns=10

authserver.ldap.authuser.maxldapconns=20

Edit the password in RED.  The password is encoded using Basic 64 Encoding.  You will have to convert the password you type into Basic 64 Encoding using a tool such as one at the URL below.

www.motobit.com/util/base64-decoder-encoder.asp

Change the password in AD, then type that password into the tool, encode it, and replace the password in red at the location in the authserver.config file.

Restart the server and test.

Note

Modifications to the operating system can lead to unrecoverable errors. Modifications are reserved to advanced users. If you do not feel confident we recommend creating a System Restore Point before performing changes.
