A smart card becomes blocked if the user enters the wrong PIN consecutively more than the allowable number of times. (This number depends upon a personalization parameter set on the card.) Access Client provides a few tools to unblock the blocked card.
- COVE Admin tool: You can unblock the user PIN under the PIN tab
- CMC tool: You can unblock the user PIN under the PIN tab
- Help Desk Unblock tool: This feature allows the user to unblock a smart card if he or she cannot log on to the system because the smart card is blocked.
