I get an "Error code 126" error at computer boot up.

Applies to

All Classic Client versions on Microsoft Operating Systems

To avoid warning messages about the smart card reader drivers, you will have to disable the Getstarted! service at system boot:

  1. Click Start, then Run (On Windows XP only) and Type "msconfig" to launch the System Configuration Utility
  2. Click on the "Startup" tab and uncheck the "Getstarted!" service.
  3. Reboot

Modifications to the operating system can lead to unrecoverable errors. Modifications are reserved to advanced users. If you do not feel confident we recommend creating a System Restore Point before performing changes.
